AT QA and Documentation Specialist
Position Overview: The Recovery and Cleaning Technician will be responsible for the recovery, cleaning, and maintenance of assistive technology (AT) devices used by employees of the Social Security Administration (SSA). This role involves ensuring that all AT devices are returned to a like-new condition, compliant with the agency's standards, and ready for re-deployment. The technician will work closely with project managers and other team members to manage the recovery process efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:

Recovery Services:

Perform recovery operations for AT devices, returning them to designated locations as specified by the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR).

Safely deinstall and package AT equipment for shipping, ensuring all packing materials are compliant with SSA guidelines.

Cleaning and Maintenance:

Conduct thorough cleaning of AT devices, including physical cleaning and data sanitization according to manufacturer’s guidelines.

Assess the condition of recovered devices and perform minor repairs as necessary to restore them to operational status.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of all recovered devices, including make, model, serial number, and condition assessments.

Prepare and submit evaluation and certification documentation for all cleaned and recovered hardware to ensure compliance with SSA standards.

Quality Assurance:

Ensure that all cleaned devices are certified as being in like-new condition and meet warranty requirements prior to re-deployment.

Conduct regular quality checks on the recovery and cleaning processes to ensure adherence to agency standards.

Collaboration and Compliance:

Work closely with project managers and other technicians to coordinate recovery schedules and logistics.

Follow all safety and security protocols related to handling assistive technology and personally identifiable information (PII).
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training in IT or maintenance is preferred.

Experience in cleaning, recovery, or maintenance of technical equipment, particularly assistive technology, is a plus.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality standards in cleaning and recovery processes.
Preferred Skills:
